Hello Class of '73 !
Here we are nearly 40 years since graduation, and thanks to the Internet
we're able to bond again by sharing mutual admiration for the dedicated
teachers who shaped our lives, and exchanging long forgotten memories
triggered by yearbook photos we haven't seen in decades. Four Decades !
Can you believe it ? May 17 – May 19 are the dates for our reunion,
but we’ve already started the fun with this website. Here are the
highlights:
In the navigation bar above click
“Find a Classmate” where you’re all listed in alphabetical order. When
you click on your name you’ll find your yearbook photo. We’d love for
each of you to update your contact info – even a current photo if
you’re brave enough. Vanity aside, reach out to your closest circle of
classmates and encourage them to return for our 40th.
Under the Reunion Info tab you’ll find all the fabulous events
and seminars we’re planning for the weekend starting with a special
party Friday night at the home of Carol Wallace. You’ll also find the
hotels reserved for our class.
Now to the fun part ! Our Legacy
Gift to Choate Rosemary Hall. We want you to Hop on the MAGIC BUS
and make a SUSTAINABLE DIFFERENCE for CRH. Remember Ken Kesey’s
MAGIC BUS from 4th form English class? Fast forward 40 years and
become one of the “merry
pranksters” donating to CRH’s “green” version… a BIODIESEL BUS, which
is truly magical. |
|
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE
$100,000 FOR THE MAGIC BIODIESEL BUS AT THE NEW KOHLER ENVIRONMENTAL
CENTER (KEC). CRH is leading the way in the sustainability movement. KEC’s
14 live-in students need transportation to the main campus and students
taking classes at the KEC need transportation to the facility. The
biodiesel bus is “green” and leaves a minimum carbon footprint. A “donated
by Class of ’73” plaque will be placed on the bus to commemorate our
generosity.

The reunion committee
would like extend special thanks to Laurie Curtin
(lcurtin@choate.edu) and Chip Marsh
(cmarsh@choate.edu) in the Development Office for
all their kind help. Also, I'd personally like to extend big, big
thanks to the members of the reunion committee: Liz Richey Beck, Tim
Bradley, Andrea Gelzer, John Glanville, Michele Gibson, Linda Hodge,
David Timberman, Carole Wallace, and Michael Ward, for their time and
generosity.
Finally, whatever you had planned to do today, please take a moment to
register for reunion, reserve your hotel room, update your profile,
and catch up with old friends.
Looking forward to seeing you in May in
Wallingford -
P.S - Make sure you check out the
Photo Gallery…some great photos of our years together ! |
